You’re probably expecting my Throwback Review of 2007’s Galactic Marine to focus on the fact that “marine” is completely out of context in the Star Wars universe and the usage of the term was too arbitrary, but you’re wrong. The review is mostly about the figure for a change and it’s one that impresses me to this day.

A trip to my local Walmart forces me to admire their dogged perseverance when it comes to their clearance policy.

I started to worry for our beloved super articulated action figure line the day I saw Mattel’s Green Lantern figures hanging in Target.  I knew that Hasbro would look across the aisle and see that retailers were gobbling up lots of minimally articulated low quality figures and say “hey, why not us?”.  I hope Hasbro doesn’t see what I saw today at Toys R Us from the Schleich company.

Did you think I forgot to write a review today?  HAH!  I just wanted to give the Entertainment Earth sale a little room to breath before bumping it down.  Today we look a highly prized collectible that may not live up to the hype with 2007’s Pre-Cyborg Grievous.

Entertainment Earth is at it again with their daily deals.  For today only, the new Star Wars sets are 20% off and orders over $79 qualify for free shipping. AT-AT for $88.  Snowspeeder for $19.  Good God!  With Christmas right around the corner, this couldn’t come at a better time!

The actor, who played the hero against whom all other heroes are judged among Star Wars fans, turns 63 today.  From everyone at Bantha Skull, happy birthday, Mr. Hamill.

That stats don’t lie.  You’ve collectively told me you’re bored with my fascination with the weird Star Wars Saga line and the boring obscure characters.  So I will take a break from that (for now) and look at a more exciting offering.  Today’s Throwback Review focuses on 2007’s Thirtieth Anniversary Collection Airborne Trooper which has amazingly never been re-released or updated.

While we don’t have an accompanying pic, a faultlessly reliable source has texted in a store report stating that the Black Series 3.75” Wave 5 (Ree-Yees / Starsher) was spotted at Toys R Us. The last two waves seem to be making their way thought the system quickly.  Unfortunately it’s only speeding us towards a lackluster wave 6.
